Preschool Childcare 36 months to Kindergarten

Our Global Aware Care Daycare Centres in south and west Edmonton provide high quality childcare and Kindergarten readiness for Preschool aged children.

Our Preschool program builds on the independent “can-do” attitude that children learn at Global Aware Care.   In addition to a language and sensory rich environment we offer self-expression opportunities through Art, Movement and play.  We also continue focusing on resilience, self-regulation and the social emotional skills needed to succeed at Kindergarten and beyond.

Our Clean, Curated Environment

Our home-like surroundings with a neutral colour palette are complemented by wood and other natural materials. The rooms are private, oversized and have large windows to provide lots of light. This creates a comfortable, home-like environment for your child to enjoy.

Professional nightly cleaning ensures that the Centre is ready for your child each morning.

CuratedClutter-Free Rooms: Our rooms are carefully curated with a wide variety of activities to support multiple interests and learning styles. You will see literacy, numeracy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) opportunities integrated into many aspects of our Preschool classrooms as well as ample opportunity to create and build whatever can be imagined!

Well-equipped Outdoor Classrooms feature a variety of play options including climbing structures, natural materials, shaded areas, walkways for ride on toys, kitchens and science tables, picnic tables and more!

Our Daily Routine

Consistent, predictable routines: Preschoolers know the Centre routines like the back of their hand and take pride in their ability to follow instructions and know what is coming next in their day!

Daily Indoor and Outdoor Learning Blocks give children a variety of activities and places to discover. We prepare children for Kindergarten by by focusing on both literacy and numeracy. In addition, we emphasize building resilience and self-regulation. We do this because we know that these and other social emotional skills help children succeed in Kindergarten and beyond.

Healthy Self Care: We assist children with their personal care as needed, while encouraging their independence and skill building. At meal times we encourage children to make positive food and social choices. For example, we invite children to help set the table and clean up afterwards.

Midday Rest Time gives Preschoolers the choice to wind down by resting, napping and/or playing quietly while other children nap.
